iPhone Copy and Paste
I’ve been reading the odd article suggesting why implementing this feature may be difficult on iPhone.
I’m not really sure what the problem is. Perhaps I’m missing something, but it doesn’t seem all that complicated.
Copy: tap and hold until loupe appears. Place caret where you want to start copying. Now hold a second finger, and move both fingers together, highlighting the text you want to copy. Once you let go, that highlighted text is automatically copied.
Cut: doesn’t exist. The highlighted text you just copied stays highlighted, so just press the backspace key to remove.
Paste: a bit more tricky. Tap and hold to get loupe, and place where you want to paste text. Now, double-tap with two fingers. This seems a little less obvious than the above two methods, but seems to make some sense (and shouldn’t mess much else up).
