On four or five occassions Ive played chess on the internet and the question has been asked ” Where are you from?” to which I replied “Wales” . Then comes the reply “Which state is that in?”

Listening to BBC worldservice on long wave on hol in Switzerland, I heard the story of a bloke who traveled across america and stopped into a diner in the south. Where he started to chat to the waitress.
“Where you from, hun?”
“Great britain” He replied.
“well for a forieghner, you speak english real good” was the reply.
