I find looking for cool things with Google Maps strangely addictive, but it really is.
Anyway, futher to my finding of Area 51 (and many other people’s), I’ve come across this great page listing cool things on Google Satellite.

Has Google (fountain of all knowledge, etc.) found Area 51? Who knows, but while I was messing about on their Satellite service (part of the Maps section), I decided to look for it. Search for Las Vegas, then browse up a fair way into the desert, and suddenly this appears:
